Memphis Depay return to full fitness for Barcelona ahead of Europa League clash against Napoli
Memphis Depay, a Barcelona attacker, is expected to return to full health ahead of Barcelona's Europa League match against Napoli.

Due to muscle concerns, Memphis Depay was forced to sit out of their Copa Del Rey match against Athletic Bilbao. The Dutchman had missed most of December owing to a hamstring ailment before the injury.

On the other hand, Memphis is expected to recover and play in the Europa League against Napoli fully. Xavi's attacking options will be bolstered by adding the 27-year-old forwards.

Barcelona added Ferran Torres, Adama Traore, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to their assault in the January transfer window. The Catalan giants already have Luuk de Jong and Ousmane Dembele, so a revived Memphis Depay will not be added to their offensive ranks.

Former manager Ronald Koeman signed Memphis Depay from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2021. Memphis had eight goals and two assists in all competitions in 23 games before his current ailments.

Barcelona's 2021-22 season got off to a slow start. After Bayern Munich and SL Benfica, the Catalan giants finished third in their Champions League group. Since the 2003-04 season, they would compete in the UEFA Europa League for the first time.

However, they were dealt a difficult draw in the first round against Serie A powerhouse Napoli. The first leg of the draw will be held at the Nou Camp on February 17th, with the second leg taking place in Naples on February 24th.
