Pakistan BBL players asked to return for upcoming PSL
The Pakistan Cricket Board has ordered its players to return from the Big Bash League and begin preparation for the PSL, which is due to begin on January 27. Before the 2019 Pakistan Super League, the PCB has requested Muhammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan to return home immediately.

The competition will be place in two phases in Karachi and Lahore, according to the statement. The schedule for PSL 7 has already been issued by the PCB. The event will begin in Karachi's national stadium on February 9 before moving to Lahore on February 9. The board has also secured a new TV arrangement and anticipates a successful event during these Covid times. The PCB has written to the teams employing Pakistani players, informing them that they must all return home to prepare for the PSL.

The PSL draught for the upcoming season is over, and Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi have used up all of their retention slots, while Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators have each kept seven players. Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Rashid Khan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were among the players retained by their respective teams. The PSL was originally scheduled to collide with the IPL, but the PCB worked around the schedule, and it will now begin on January 27. Both Lahore and Karachi will host 17 matches, with the final taking place in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.

On the other hand, PCB may have difficulty staging PSL 2022 at that time of year. While there are many T20 leagues planned, the weather in Punjab area can cause problems for the organisers. To deal with the weather, the PCB has opted to start the PSL in Karachi, Sind, in January. Afterwards, they plan to move to Lahore, Punjab, in February, when conditions are more likely to be favourable.
