England has poor performance in the ongoing Ashes 2021-22 series. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to suggest that Australia has bullied them thus far. To make matters worse, their star all-rounder, Ben Stokes, is unfit to play for the remaining Test.

The English all-rounder is unlikely to bowl for the remainder of the Sydney Test after suffering an injury to his left shoulder on the second day. In reality, he may be forced to miss Hobart's fifth Ashes Test match, which is scheduled to begin on January 14. The England management has decided against sending Stokes for a scan after he left the field after delivering the fifth delivery of his fourth over on Thursday.

Stuart Broad, his teammate and England pacer, claimed he had no information about him at the moment when questioned about his current situation. However, he was hopeful that Stokes would play on Friday. The 35-year-old also praised the ruggedness of the dynamic all-rounder.

Despite his impressive statistics, the English vice-captain has had a forgettable series. He has only scored 101 runs in six innings at an average of 16.83 in four Tests. He has also been ordinary with the ball, taking four wickets in four games.
