Adelaide Strikers comfortably triumph over Hobart Hurricanes
The Strikers cruised to a comfortable victory over the loaded Hurricanes, with veteran Peter Siddle turning heads with a five-wicket haul.

The former Test bowler took 5-23 from four overs, assisting his side in restricting the powerful Hobart top order and bowling them out for only 124.

Siddle's experience shone through, as he delivered terrific slower balls and hit the stumps with pinpoint accuracy.

The bowling performance was dubbed "unbelievable" by Micheal Hussey, and Mark Waugh stated he "mopped the tail up" wonderfully with some terrific slower balls.

Hussey said on Fox Sports coverage that he displayed all of his ability and excellent execution.

The Hurricanes will also be thinking about a curious accident in which both Short and Handscomb ended up at the same end for an unlucky run out.

In their pursuit, the Strikers appeared to be in complete control, with starter Matt Short dominating the game.

The Adelaide side travelled at over eight runs per over during their chase, despite just needing a glimmer over six runs each over.

On his path to win, Short batted 72 runs off 44 balls, chasing down the total in 15.1 overs to complete a rout of the Hurricanes.

In their run chase, the Strikers are cruising to win, needing only 49 runs from 64 balls.

With a run rate of around eight runs per over, Adelaide has easily scored at around six runs per over, and Renshaw and Short are leading their team to victory.

Short has been the highlight, dispatching the bad ball to sit on 47 off 32 balls in a mature innings.

The Strikers got off to a quick start, taking the wickets of Matthew Wade and Ben McDermott.

Wade was unlucky, stepping back and slicing the ball down onto his stumps, while McDermott succumbed to veteran Peter Siddle's shrewd bowling.

The Golden Bat tried to catch an off-speed pitch, but it flew high into the air, landing safely in Kelly's hands.
