PCB confirmed PSL 2021 would resume on June 9
On Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the 6th edition of the Pakistan Super League would continue on June 9 in Abu Dhabi, with the final scheduled for June 24. The PSL schedule has also been released, with the Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United in the season's first match.

There will be six double-headers, five in the resumption of the league stage and the last on June 21, the Qualifier and Eliminator 1. After the final match, Pakistan is scheduled to fly from Abu Dhabi to Manchester on June 25.

Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars started to practise on Wednesday (June 3) after the players and support personnel who had three negative RT-PCR tests after completing the obligatory isolation were allowed to mingle with the team, a PSL official announcement.

The 6th edition of the league was notably postponed in the middle of its run after many bio-bubble breaches and Covid-19 instances were recorded inside the league's bio-secure environment. Due to the Covid issue in Pakistan, all six franchises requested that the remaining season be moved to Abu Dhabi in a joint letter. After overcoming numerous logistical and travel-related challenges, the PCB was finally able to begin the event.
