baji - IPL 2021 Live Cricket: Virat Kohli will be opening the innings for RCB
In the Indian Premier League 2021, there will be no more questions about Team India and RCB captain Virat Kohli's batting position (IPL). Kohli, who has alternated between opening the innings and batting at No. 3 for RCB this season, announced at the end of the fifth T20I against England that he will be opening the team's innings this season and Hesson was relieved.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma opened the innings in the last T20I against England, and the pair gave India a flying start before Rohit fell. The Indian captain, on the other hand, hung in there and played the role of the anchor, finishing unbeaten on 80 (52 balls) as India posted a massive 224/2 from their 20 overs.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan recommended Kohli bat at the top for RCB after seeing him.

Kohli has previously opened for RCB alongside Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch, but it appears that he will do so full-time this time to give the team an extra all-rounder. Devdutt Padikkal, who has been in sensational form for Karnataka and was one of the last season discoveries in the United Arab Emirates, is likely to open for the 32-year-old. Padikkal had scored 473 runs in 15 games, averaging 31.53 runs per game.

On April 9, RCB will take on Mumbai Indians at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in their first game.
