Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021 Live Streaming: Prithvi Shaw to become Mumbai captain
Regular Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer, along with Suryakumar Yadav and Shardul Thakur, is set to depart for national duty to face England in their tour's limited-overs leg. The Mumbai Cricket Association has selected Prithvi Shaw to take up the responsibility in these circumstances.

Shaw has been appointed as Mumbai's captain for the Vijay Hazare Trophy knockout process in 2021, and the diminutive right-handed opener has a track record as a captain.

In 2018, he led India's Under-19 team to a World Cup victory. Shaw also led Mumbai to victory over Puducherry in the ongoing tournament's league level. He hit a world-record 227* off 152 balls to lead his team to a massive 457/4 total, comfortably defended by 233 runs.

Despite three seasoned campaigners' departure, Mumbai is unbeaten in the VHT after five league games and are one of the favourites to win the trophy.

Prithvi Shaw got his international career off to a flying start with a century on his Test debut in 2018. The explosive opener, however, was recently dropped from India's Test squad. During India's recent tour to Australia, he was dropped after scoring 0 and 4 in the day-night Test in Adelaide.

On the other hand, Shaw seems to have rediscovered the style that made him a star in both the IPL and international cricket. He's played so far in the game in the five innings, and he's scored 105*, 34, 227*, 36, and 2.

With more pressure on his shoulders, Mumbai captain Prithvi Shaw hopes to keep up his excellent form and lead the team to their fourth Vijay Hazare title.
