2021 PSL Live Cricket Score: Multan Sultans appoint Mohammad Rizwan as their captain
The Multan Sultans have named their wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan as their captain for
the upcoming sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). As the captain of the
Multan-based franchise, the Pakistan star has replaced veteran batsman Shan Masood. The Multan
Sultans made it to the PSL playoffs for the first time under the captaincy of Masood last
year.
On the other hand, last year, Rizwan was plying his trade for the Karachi Kings. In the PSL 2021 draft, he was picked up by the Multan team. During the unsuccessful stint, Rizwan surprisingly failed to cement his position in Karachi Kings' playing. He played in only two matches last year and had only one ball to face, although Karachi Kings won the tournament.
Mohammad Rizwan will look to turn things around in the PSL, too, with the form on his side and the franchise demonstrating immense faith in him. In international cricket, the 28-year-old has been in red-hot form and recently scored his first hundred in T20 during the just-concluded three-match T20 series against South Africa.
