Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders have their overseas players Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Lockie
Ferguson, Tim Seifert, Sunil Narine, and Eoin Morgan. They will look to buy another couple who
will give a full look to their team. They probably could do with Russell and Narine backups and
could go for an overseas opener as well.
Shakib Al Hasan is currently one of the best all-rounders in the world, and having him on their shortlist will not hurt KKR. A reliable batsman and an outstanding bowler, given his versatility, the Bangladesh all-rounder would be a valuable player for most teams.
The former SRH player scored 5080 runs in 317 T20s and picked up 360 wickets. During the ODI series against West Indies, the 33-year-old was in great form as he scored 113 runs and picked up 6 wickets.
As he would provide fair competition for places and keep Andre Russell and Sunil Narine's likes on their toes, he could use KKR.
