Mohammad Hafeez likely to take part in Dhaka Premier League 2022
Mohammad Hafeez, a veteran all-rounder who played for Pakistan for 19 years, announced his retirement from international cricket in January. Despite his retirement from international cricket, Hafeez remains available for selection in franchise cricket and is expected to play in the Dhaka Premier League.

The Dhaka Premier League (DPL) will occur from March 15 to April 28 in 2022, with 11 clubs competing in the competition administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). While Hafeez will participate in the contest, it is unclear whether he will be available for the entire period.

According to rumours in Cricket Pakistan, the 41-year-old will travel to Bangladesh on March 15 to compete in the Dhaka Premier League's forthcoming edition. The former Pakistan captain would be in the country for three weeks, representing Mohammedan Cricket Club.

Hafeez was last seen in action at the PSL 2022 when he helped Lahore Qalandars win their first title with his outstanding all-around performance in the final. He played a match-winning hit with the bat, but he also shone with the ball in hand.

He was named Player of the Match as the Lahore Qalandars won by 42 runs. Hafeez continued his brilliant run in the second innings, finishing with figures of 2/23 from his four overs at an economy of 5.8 after scoring 69 runs off 46 deliveries, including nine fours and a six.

Hafeez has scored 3,652, 6,614, and 2,514 runs in 55 Tests, 218 One Day Internationals, and 119 Twenty20 Internationals, respectively, during his cricketing career. He's also had success with his right-arm off-break, racking up 53, 139, and 61 scalps in various formats.

In the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2021, the 'Professor' played his farewell international match against Australia.
