Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions of mega events like the Indian Premier League (IPL), signed Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, in 2021 at a cost of around Rs 2 million. However, he got injured though he did not play any match in that season. He was also picked by the Mumbai Indians in the 15th edition of the recently concluded IPL. This time they have to spend around Rs 3 million to get Sachin's son in the team.

However, Mumbai management did not give him opportunity to any match even after taking Arjun in the team. And that is why there is a lot of discussion and criticism in the cricket world. However, Mumbai bowling coach Shane Bond said that Arjun has not yet been able to get himself in a position to play the match. He needs to be more focused on batting and fielding. However, this time Kapil Deb, the World Cup winning captain of the year 1983 for India, has opened his mouth about this.

Kapil said, "Arjun is taking a lot of pressure for the Tendulkar name associated with him. Advising Arjun not to compare him with Sachin, Kapil said, ''Why is everyone talking about him? Because he is Sachin Tendulkar's son. Let him play his own cricket and stop comparing him with Sachin. There are advantages and disadvantages to having a name like Tendulkar. Don Bradman's son changed his name because he couldn't take the pressure off. He removed the Bradman title because everyone expected him to be like his father."

Advising Arjun, the World Cup winning captain added, "Don't put pressure on Arjun. He is a young boy. He found great Sachin as a father, so who are we to tell him something? But I still want to tell him one thing, 'Go and enjoy yourself. There is no need to prove anything. If you can become 50 percent like your father, then there is nothing better than this. ' As soon as Tendulkar's name is mentioned, our expectations increase. Because Sachin was a great cricketer. ''
